My vid has the judges comments... Take that fellow Idol Vid Posters!! My first season of American Idol was Season 4. I watched it straight through, being surprised by any and all outcomes when my favorites were whittled down to make room for the beautiful Carrie to take the crown. Mikalah's gone! Oh no, not Nadia too! ANWAR!!! Season 5 however, I ruined it for myself (suspense-wise). I went to all of those websites with 'opinions' and 'polls' to see which conestant was the one most likely to go home. Almost all of them pegged Katharine as #2, and Chris as #1. So when neither of them were in the bottom 3 this week or that week, I wasn't surprised. With all the favoritism toward the Rocker, I was wondering if they'd bend over backwords to tilt the scale in his direction. Then Ryan Seacrest 'casually' asked him about his favorite band 'Live' the following week. I had NO IDEA about the 'Live' debacle, until I checked the sites. Until I watched The Soup. Until it was complained about by Idol viewers. Then Chris-Haters pounced on him for choosing Rock-Redone Covers instead of doing what all of the other contestants did and choose the 'original' versions of songs during themed nights. He wasn't 'testing' himself. He wasn't going out of his comfort zone like all of the others. But this song changed everything. And proved he was a force.

Okey-doke, well, this is my very first pheely video, so don't be too harsh on me. It's kind of sad, makes me miss the show more. But like the song says, Phil's going home to the place where he belongs.. -sigh- I'm kind of mad, because my computer kept freezing during the making of this video, so there are a few sections where the video kind of freezes for a second, but just ignore it. The song is "Home" by Daughtry. You might of heard it as the "Going Home" song for American Idol this year... Or possibly on the radio... I dunno.. You tell me. Comment, rate, do whatever.. Chris Daughtry - Higher Ground
Chris Daughtry was great during the Top 24 rounds, but unleashed his awesomeness being in the Top 12. He was my favorite guy (along with the amazing Elliot). Girl Favorites: Katharine, Paris, and Melissa. But having just gotten out of the gate, he was already getting bashed by the Haters. Chris Haters. I call them 'Chraters.' They called him out because he weasled out of having to sing a song that was out of his comfort zone. All the Idols that week threw caution to the wind and did what the Themes of the Week are supposed to do: Stretch you as performers and entertainers. Chris however, chose a song that was redone by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and wasn't going to be an 'issue' performing-wise for him. I call that strategic! He was smart. But take a look at whats goin on around him: smoke machines, large blinking flashing lights, all those crazy camera angles. All Melissa McGhee got that night was a stool. Hmm... Conspiracy??? Anyways, he DID give the 'Peppers' credit for their take on this song, so for all those who say he has a tendency of not doing so: Blah!!!

Yes this video is up already, but mine doesn't have that annoying DAUGHTRY sign in the bottom right corner. And there's a cute little girl in the beginning of the video talking bout Ace. Ya know, I gotta admit that I wasn't too big of a Chris Daughtry fan. Maybe it was his confidence. Maybe it was him receiving all of this praise for being the guarenteed winner so early in the competition. Maybe it's because he wasn't Paris. I wanted to find flaws. But in the end, I couldn't. With his future performances and his sexy face, he turned out being one of my favorite contestants of the season. And all you idiots who hate him for taking on Johnny Cash should shut up. He didn't do it to replace the original. It wasn't even 'his' rendition; it was 'Live's.' Get mad at them. 'Supposedly,' Chris mentioned the obscure band in his video segment, but to keep it short, the producers snipped out some chunks (the shout-out included). Ryan snuck in a little: 'Live is your favorite band, right?' during the pre-performance commentary the following week. It felt a little more like damage control. But I love him.....er, I mean, I love him singing this song.
