History

Latinoise Version 1.0 (2000-2003)

Latinoise from the year 2000 to 2003 became the leading online Latin music destination with 1 million unique visitors per month. Ironically our success became a problem because we had visitiors and lots of them, but they were not buying music. To sustain 1 million unique visitors requires a lot of bandwidth and money. Latinoise has always been on the music labels and legal side of the digital music industry. With so much rampant music piracy online and advertising rates low, the monthly costs to sustain a profitable high traffic music portal became unsustainable.

Latinoise was also ahead of its time and we had to overcome a lot more challenges because there was more restrictions on portals to license songs from labels and there was very little content online. Since our launch in 2000 we had digital downloads, we had live streaming concert videos and streaming music video clips. We had partneships with MP3.com, Liquid Audio, House of Blues, Mojam.com, Spun.com and Tuneto.com. Latinoise was also the only music website to provide Latin music content to Microsoft Windows Media Guide.

After 2003 I made the decision to temporarily operate only as a CD and DVD store and as soon as the digital music space began to sort out and labels released more music online. We will then do a full relaunch of Latinoise...

Latinoise version 2.0 (2007+)

Well that time has come and we are bringing you the best latin music content available online. Latinoise.com uses the latest AJAX programming its very fast. Users can find everything about their favorite latin music artists in one page. bios, videos via Youtube.com, music via Itunes and Amazon, lyrics and bios via Wiki and the best radio stations from the web.
